This course is designed for employees who may need to work in the vicinity of an asbestos remediation project. This course does not qualify employees to remove or handle asbestos in any way.
The Asbestos Awareness training course takes place over approximately four hours and students will receive a wallet card upon completion of the class.
Asbestos is a major concern for many Colorado companies. If your employees work in a facility that was built prior to 1979, asbestos could be present in walls, flooring and ceilings.
Ignorance of the presence of asbestos in your facility will not relieve you of responsibility if asbestos is released during renovation or redecorating.
Employees who work in the vicinity of asbestos remediation operations must be trained as to the possible dangers.
